Helping others

I think it is so important to reach out and help other people. There are so many ways to help others, like going to the rescue mission, donating money, food, or anything that can change a life. An awesome program that i joined is World Vision; this program is wonderful because you are not only helping a child from a different country but their community. World vision works like this:

1st there are children in pretty much every country, so you choose a child

2ND you sponsor them every month, which is $35.00 ( the money pays for them to have food, clothing, and to be able to attend school; 87% goes to the child and the rest goes to the community to build fresh water wells and build up the agriculture in that community.)

3rd you gain another member of you family, the child sends you pictures, letters, and in return you do the same.

4Th You not only change the life of a child, but a community, and your own :)

The world vision program is just one of thousands of ways to reach out and help others, but it is a true blessing to be able to serve others and to provide for them what they cannot provide for themselves. The feeling that comes from helping others is indescribable, nothing else compares to it.
